2020 brings many a dream.
Some of you might remember that CAINE was hosted by the C@M Montreal Domain twice before: in 2006 and 2011. A few bids were attempted since, but others got their turn. In the meantime, the Montreal Domain was able and willing to push forward many a progressive policy; some of them handed down from the Board of Directors, others, voted on locally by our membership. And we believe this puts us in an unique position to host CAiNE.
This new Chronicle, in association with Mind’s Eye Society, has inspired a number of new and returning members into getting involved locally. They have energy, hope, and a certain je-ne-sais-quoi that inspires others to try and do things differently. By providing people with a common project to work on, we believe Montreal can bring a thrilling new-vs-old-world flair to our annual convention, and entice many a player locally and abroad to attend and get involved. We love to host; we revel in sharing our sights and tastes and excitement. The city is a unique mixture of European and North American sensibilities, and is a tourist destination like no other. It has an international airport, is centrally located, and there is very little you cannot find within its confines.
It is, after all, a city ripe for the World of Darkness to thrive.
